Conceived as a private retreat and entertaining space the secret to this terrace’s design success is revealed by the integration of custom subsurface planters hung within steel dunnage that support the terrace from its perimeter parapet walls. The garden is replete with an extensive outdoor kitchen and dining area, tea room and space for children’s play. The playful interaction of the white Birch tree bark, bold stripes of furnishing upholstery and verdant green of the landscape provided an unexpected vibrancy to this garden sanctuary.
