As part of a building repositioning and leasing effort we worked with the building owner, BuzzFeed and project architect to conceive this multi-level landscape for work. A glass enclosed scissor stair and pavilion were introduced to join building floor plates at different elevations and on separate tax lots into one. The landscape design organizes a distinct set of outdoor rooms setting the stage for corporate events and outdoor work and socializing opportunities. A diverse urban meadow of drought tolerant grasses, sedges and forbs provides a dynamic seasonal tapestry embedded within the Gramercy neighborhood creating a unique sense of place.
